The Alice Springs Airport is a small domestic airport serving the central city of Alice Springs. Although Alice Springs only has a population of close to 30.000 as much as 700.000 people use this airport each year, most of them tourists. The airport has two runways and can accomodate the landing of a Boeing 747.
There are several options to get to your destination at Alice Springs Airport. Taxis and car rental are available here but there is also a shuttle bus (operated by Alice Wanderer Airport Transfers) which will bring you to your destination in the city center for $16. They also can pick you up from your hotel and bring you to the airport.
Alice Springs Airport is not a large airport so there are not many flights departing here. There are only a few destinations that you can reach from Alice Springs Airport, most of these are operated by Qantas. Many people take a flight to Sydney and transfer to another flight there.
