Pagang Island is located in Bungus Teluk Kabung sub-district, Pesisir Selatan District, West Sumatra Province. The island is facing directly to Indian Ocean and is about thirteen kilometers from Padang city. The beach is quite beautiful with the presence of a amazing panorama of the green of Sumatra hills. It's added by the clean white sand and completed with clear blue water making the tourists who visit here can't wait to throw themselves into the sea.

In addition, there are many activities that you can do on this island, such as fishing, snorkeling to camping. Underwater scenery on this island is pretty good. There are also snorkeling equipment rental services provided here. Not only that, some inns are also available at this place. But for you who want to feel the thrill of camping on this island, tent rental services are also provided for tourists. The island is actually a transit point for the fishermen to rest for a while. There are some fishermen who live on this island. When you are hungry, you can as the fishermen a favor to make you food with cheaper cost.

From the center of Padang city, you can go directly to Bungus Teluk Kabung sub-district or Port Muaro Padang or it could be heading to Port Bungus using ground vehicles. From this place you have to rent a boat to get to Pagang Island. Boat rental fee is quite expensive, therefore it is better for you to go in groups so the boat renting fee can be cheaper
