Seoul is the capital of South Korea and located throughout the edge of Hangan River. Seoul is a metropolis city and the tenth biggest city in the world. Thic sity is surrounded by mountains. SEOUL History

Seoul City has been through several name changes during era changes in South Korea. But Seoul itself was established in 17 BC started in the era of Baekje. The first location of Seoul is situated around the Seoul border area nowadays.

Things to see

Seoul has palace inheritted by old triumphant kingdoms. Though the kingdom system has gone, but you can still see the majestic architecture of South Korean palaces now in Seoul. Some palaces you can visit are Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Huwon, Changgyeonggung Palace and Deoksugung Palace. You can also come to preserved and well arranged Korean settlement. This settlement is fulled with Hanok. Hanok itself is the custom house of Korea from the time of Joseon Dynasty. To be able to see Seoul from a tower, you can just go to Seoul Tower. From the top of this tower, Seoul can be seen beautifully. You can not only see beautiful Seoul, but also enjoy some typical foods sold by some merchants in Seoul Tower.

Things to do

Seoul has famous and like no other theme park called Lotte World. You can enjoy so many various rides. You need not tp worry about the weather for Lotte World is an indoor theme park. At night you can some to Chonggyecheon Stream to go through river stream while seeing beautiful lamps which will give you an extraordinary experience. If you love shopping, don't miss an opportunity to go shopping in Myeongdong which is the main shopping destination in South Korea. This place is always crowded and usually used as shooting movie place for Korean drama. And if you love Korean fashion, you need to come to Apgujeong and Cheongdam which is the fashion centre. This place is social and fashion trendsetter in South Korea.

Things to eat

Talking about Korean food, it's already familiar especially there are many Korean foods available and sold in Indonesia due to the booming of Korean dramas and songs. But if you come to Korea, you need to taste Korean food directly from its origin, South Korea. Kimchi is a fermentation of some typical vegetables of Korea. It's usually made of mustard green or cabbage, chilli powder, garlic, onioon, peer and others. Kimchi is usually eaten by Korean. Other menu is Bulgogi. This food is made of beef cooked with salty ketchup and sugar, usually eaten with lettuce. Another unique food you need to try is Bibimbap. Bibimpap is rice ith vegetables, beef and egg on top of it. Bibimbap is served with hot stone bowl. Those typical foods mentioned above will surely make you wanting more and more.
