Singapore Travel Guide

The city-state of Singapore has become one of the world’s most developed and richest countries and provides a unique combination of modern city-life with skyscrapers and efficient metro system, a tropical climate, Malay and Chinese influences and excellent shopping. Although Singapore can feel crowded, especially if you are packed like sardines in the metro in rush hour, the country has over 50 parks and four nature reserves. Only about 50% of the country is build on. For these reasons Singapore is also called the Garden City. Be sure to visit one of the many excellent parks while you are here.
